Anne Tyler

Anne Tyler is an accomplished music educator and choral conductor with over forty years of dedicated service in music pedagogy, choral ensembles, and church music.

This year, Ms. Tyler rejoins the artistic faculty of the Children’s Chorus of Washington (CCW) to direct the Prep class at the Southwest campus. Her distinguished tenure with CCW spans two decades, during which she served as an accompanist for multiple ensembles and directed both the Prep and Training curricula, establishing foundational vocal and choral skills in young singers.

Over her forty-year teaching career, Ms. Tyler instructed students from nursery through twelfth grade at several prominent private schools within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Now retired from institutional school teaching, she continues her work in music ministry. Ms. Tyler serves as the Music Director at St. Clement Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia, where she also conducts weekly chapel music programs for early childhood students. She holds a Master of Music in piano performance from The Catholic University of America.
