INTERACT WITH OTHER CHORUS PARENTS
Through a variety of social events and volunteer activities during CCW’s season, parents develop their own friendships with other CCW families and build a support system which may enable car pooling to rehearsals, exchanging helpful information, and social opportunities outside of chorus activities.
TAKE PART IN YOUR STUDENT’S CHORUS LIFE
There is NO limit to the number of ways in which you can take part in your student’s chorus life! Take a look at our VOLUNTEER PAGE to see how you can help. Be sure to fill out the form to let us know which chorus activities you can assist with.
ATTEND CONCERTS AND EVENTS
CCW Concerts: Attending CCW concerts is the best way to experience the choral excellence that our students strive for. While families are welcome to observe their child’s chorus rehearsals, CCW’s concerts, held in December and May, are where we showcase our students’ artistic achievements and unique repertoire.
CCW Fundraising Events: CCW is a nonprofit organization and tuition only covers about 40% of our operating expenses. CCW relies on support from individuals, corporations, and foundations to help close the gap. CCW organizes fundraising events throughout the year to generate support for the organization and provide community-building opportunities. CCW parents are encouraged to participate by attending the events with friends and families, by bidding on fantastic auction items, and by making new friends within and outside of the CCW community.
CCW Annual Appeal Campaigns: Every fall and spring, CCW invites its families, friends, and supporters throughout the metropolitan DC community to support its choral music education programs. Please respond generously so CCW can continue to offer its programs to students regardless of their family’s financial resources.
