Colette has spent her career in international affairs and law. She is Assistant General Counsel and Deputy Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of The AES Corporation, a global energy company based in Arlington, Virginia where she specializes in global anti-corruption and sanctions, international M&A and international transactions. Prior to joining AES, Colette practiced corporate law at Hogan & Hartson in Washington, DC, and served as Program Officer for Northeast Asia at The Asia Society in New York. Colette served on the Board of The Country School in Easton, Maryland for two terms. She lives in Bethesda with her husband and their two daughters. Her daughter joined CCW in 2015, and is currently in Concert Chorus and Chamber.

Colette has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
