Joe Verbrugge

Former Chief Commercial Officer, SiriusXM

Joined CCW board in 2025.

In 2024, Joe finished a 20-year career at media and entertainment company, SiriusXM. During his tenure, he oversaw business units and growth initiatives driving the organization from 3 million to 34 million subscribers and $9 billion in annual revenue. Across his career, he held senior executive roles responsible for the leadership of digital, retail and subscription marketing, business development, product, engineering, operations & human resources.

Joe currently serves on the board of directors of Stride, Inc., a publicly-held, national leader in online education. There, he is the chair of the compensation committee and is a member of the audit committee. He also serves on the board of Kids’ Food Basket, a non-profit organization addressing childhood hunger.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, an MBA at Georgetown University and holds a doctorate in Management from the University of Oxford.

Joe and his wife, Michelle, split their time between Washington, DC and Florida. They have three daughters in their 20s.
