Maya Levanon
DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS INTERN
Maya is a rising senior at Oberlin College and Conservatory, where she is pursuing a double major in Musical Studies and Business with a concentration in Arts Administration. A native of New York City, Maya has been singing in choirs for most of her life, including with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City and the Oberlin College Choir.
This summer, Maya is thrilled to join Children's Chorus of Washington as the Development and Operations Intern. She brings with her a range of experience in arts organizations, having previously interned with Mascarade Opera, Main Street Theater and Dance Alliance, and Washington DC’s World Music Collective.
At Oberlin, Maya remains deeply involved in both music and campus life. She performs in vocal ensembles, serves as a manager at the Cat in the Cream—where she books artists and organizes events—and is the President of Oberlin Solarity, the college’s largest semesterly performance event, which has featured artists such as Lizzo and Smino.
Maya is passionate about creating inclusive and inspiring spaces for young people in the arts and is excited to support CCW’s mission this summer.
