Anne Davis Tyler

Anne Davis Tyler has been with Children’s Chorus of Washington since 2006 and is currently the director of the Prep program for CCW and the accompanist for Advanced Bel Canto Chorus. She has been a music educator at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School in Washington, DC since 1997. In addition to her department chair and Middle School general music classroom responsibilities, she conducts the Middle School Chorus, directs the Middle School theatre productions and various handbell ensembles. Ms. Tyler was the director of the 9:00 O’clock Choirs at Christ Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia for 11 years. She has served as a professional accompanist for Maryland All-State, ACDA Eastern and National divisions, and Fairfax (VA) Choral Society’s youth choruses.


Ms. Tyler was a recipient of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund (JFMF) Teacher Program and traveled to various prefectures to study the Japanese education system. Ms. Tyler was the 2010-2011 O’Neil/Carew Fellow at St. Patrick’s School, co-presenting a workshop on “Taizé Worship in the Middle and Secondary Schools” at the National Association of Episcopal Schools in San Antonio, Texas. In 2015, Ms. Tyler was awarded the Love of Teaching certificate from her school. Ms. Tyler holds a Masters of Music in piano performance from The Catholic University.
