CCW has multiple financial aid opportunities and community initiatives to reduce barriers of entry for DC's next generation of young singers.

Joan Gregoryk Scholarship Fund

The Joan Gregoryk Scholarship Fund is a current-use account that creates flexible awards, including multi-year scholarships to support long-term engagement for students. Scholarships granted through the Fund will be based on need, and can cover expenses such as tuition, uniforms, transportation, or any other costs that would otherwise inhibit participation in CCW’s ensembles.

The first scholarships from the Joan Gregoryk Scholarship Fund were awarded in 2021.

Wharf Scholars Program

The Wharf Scholars Program is funded by Hoffman and Associates and the District Wharf Community Association. This program enables students from Title I schools in DC's ward six to participate in CCW programming. These multi-year scholarships fully cover the cost of tuition, uniforms, transportation, and music and materials.

Our Endowment

Thanks to two generous gifts from the the David S. Shrager Foundation, in 2007 and 2010, CCW's endowment has reduced the barriers to access for families with limited financial resources. Like our other financial aid opportunities, we annually award need-based scholarships from this endowment each season.
