Cécile Audette

This is Cécile Audette’s first year as conductor of the Beginning Bel Canto Chorus. She was formerly director of Middle School Music at Friends School of Baltimore, where she conducted three middle school choirs and oversaw the middle school curriculum. In addition to her work at CCW, Ms. Audette is an Assistant Director of the Baltimore Children’s Choir where she conducts the Cantare Singers.


She is also a member of Canticle Singers of Baltimore where she serves as Director of Marketing. Ms. Audette earned her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Hartt School of Music, and her graduate degree in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. As a conductor, she was mentored by Joseph Flummerfelt, Frauke Haaseman, Helen Kemp, Allen Crowell, and James Jordan. She is a professional singer who maintains an active studio, and her other passions are travel, cooking, hiking, and garden design.
