Anaya Shaw-Taylor

Washington D.C. born and Maryland raised pianist Anaya Shaw-Taylor is known for her piano performances. She has performed locally in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. Shaw-Taylor started learning piano at the age of four when she enrolled in a local education group known as Jordan Kitts Music. Throughout the ten years of her learning, playing, and performing at Jordan Kitts Music, Anaya was taught by two teachers, Livia Sutejo and Martha Blakely. Throughout her college career Shaw-Taylor studied with Molly Orlando. All of these teachers have had a monumental impact on Shaw-Taylor’s artistry and musicianship today. 


Shaw-Taylor has received the Trinity College London Piano Certificate (Graded Examination in Music Performance from 2008-2011) and completed the National Piano Playing Auditions/National Guild of Piano Teachers from 2011-2019.  She has performed on stages at Towson University, and The George Washington University. Anaya continues to learn and grow her craft of being a pianist. She looks forward to the years ahead of her as she continues to learn more about the piano and performing. 


Anaya Shaw-Taylor lives in Glenn Dale, Maryland and received her Bachelors of Arts in Music with a Sociology Minor from The George Washington University in May 2023.
